Robert James Klaer

Robert James Klaer, 69, of Chester, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014. Born in Oak Park, IL, he was the son of the late James Joseph and Eleanor Schindler Klaer. He was a founding member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and a retired corrections officer with the Virginia Department of Corrections. Mr. Klaer is survived by his wife, Christine W. Klaer; step-sons, Jason Waller and wife, Shannon, and Gary Waller; grandchildren, Cullen Waller and Rylan Waller; sister, Virginia Weber; and niece, Amy Zielke-Lapointe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19th at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Schmied, Celebrant.
