Robert Daniel Lee

Robert Daniel Lee, 92, died peacefully at his lifelong home on September 2, 2018, where he was surrounded by family. He was a member of Rocky Run United Methodist Church, a retired dairy farmer, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the son of the late Travis Taylor and Nolie Dillon Lee. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, Travis Taylor Lee, Jr., James Dillon Lee, Helen Lee Grissom Wilhite, Louise Lee Hahn, and Martha Lee Norton. He was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Eva Mayes Lee, and a brother-in-law, T. Marshall Hahn, Jr. He is survived by one brother, William M. Lee (Shirley) of Williamsburg and a brother-in-law, Jerry Norton of Sequim, Wash. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Travis Young Lee (Kathy) and Daniel D. Lee (Alicia) of Dewitt, and Virginia A. Lee of Evanston, IL. Other nieces and nephews include Sally Butler (David) of Atlanta, Linda Norton Ratliffe (Terry) of Branson, MO., Betty Hahn Chancey (Doug) and Anne Hahn Hurst of Blacksburg, VA. Will Lee (Cherie) of Williamsburg, VA, and Cindy Lee Peasley (Brad) and Suzanne Lee Browder (Meade) of Richmond, VA. Mr. Lee was also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews, including Taylor Lee (Wendy), Jordan Lee (Carole), Cameron Lee, and Meredith Lee Tucker (Michael), all of Dewitt, and Clare Lee Breidenbach (Geordie) of North Dinwiddie, VA, and Clarke Lee (Sarah) of Church Road, VA. He was also survived by beloved great-great-nieces and nephew: Ella, Emory, Avery, Morgan, and Dillon Lee, and Lillian Breindenbach. Mr. Lee is also survived by longtime friend and neighbor, Leroy Jones, of DeWitt, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30pm Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A Service of Death and Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, at Rocky Run United Methodist Church, 14925 Glebe Road, Dewitt, VA with the Rev. Bryan Carper officiating.
