Robert Hoi Leong Sr.

Robert H. Leong, Sr., age 88, of Hopewell, Virginia passed away from complications of Covid-19 Pneumonia, on January 7, 2021. He was a successful restaurateur (Joy Young and Joy Restaurant) and entrepreneur. Born in Summerville, Mass., Mr. Leong moved to China as youth with his family before returning to the United States where he married his wife, the late Faye P. Leong. Together, they were the proud parents of Jane P. Leong Linduff and Robert H. Leong, Jr.
Other survivors include: Jane's husband, James Virgil Linduff; and, their two children; James Robert Linduff, and his wife, Anna; and Morgan Phillips and, her husband, Eli; along with Robert's partner. A lover of animals, Mr. Leong is also survived by his three dogs.
Funeral Services will be Jan. 20, 2021 in Petersburg, at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift is requested to the ASPCA.
