Robert Ray Mckenny

Robert Ray McKenney, 83, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. Born in Petersburg, VA he was the son of the late Willie Ray and Dallas Alberta Carlisle McKenney. Mr. McKenney was a United States Navy and Army veteran. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Hopewell and had a passion for cooking. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. McKenney is survived by his wife of 33 years, Eva Mae McKenney; a daughter, Theresa Fishburne and husband, Jermaine; a granddaughter, Alyssa Brown; and a son, Robert Clifton. A private interment will be held at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
