Robert Ervin Midgett

Robert Ervin Midgett, 62, of Bracey, Virginia died Monday, February 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Bessie Midgett and daughter Amanda Confer. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 146. Robert was retired after over 25 years of service with the City of Hopewell. He is survived by his son, Tony Midgett; two grandchildren, Cady Confer and Aiden Confer; brothers, Jerry Midgett (Kathy Burgess), Johnny Midgett, and Joe Padgett (Alice); numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
