Robert J. Ozmore, 73, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2004 at his home in Petersburg. He was born on June 14, 1931 and was the son of the late John and Margaret Indie Ozmore. He was the Godson of Joseph and Annie Pawroznik. He was preceded in death by a brother, John C. Ozmore. Mr. Ozmore is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Vesely Ozmore; a daughter, Vicki ozmore Cain and twin grandchildren, Aaron Timothy Cain and Amber Lynn Cain of Prince George County. Other survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and William Hugh Emory of Surry County, Jeannette Bess and husband Bobby Bess of Prince George County; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Mike Cizler of Petersburg; sister-in-law Elizabeth Vesely of Petersburg; sister-in-law, Ruth Ozmore of Chester. He is also survived by six nieces, five nephews and several cousins. Mr. Ozmore served as a member of the United States Air Force. He retired from Allied Chemical Corporation after 28 years of service. Prior to that, he completed a 4 year apprenticeship with E. E. Titus Foundry as a shop machinist. Mr. Ozmore was a prior member of the Hopewell Moose Lodge, a charter member of the Dinwiddie Moose Lodge and a member of the American Legion Post 284. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10 AM Wednesday at The Church of the Sacred Heart. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg from 7 to 8:30 PM Tuesday.
