Robert Lee Reese

Robert Lee Reese, 67, of Church Road, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Born and raised in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Frank Curtis and Bernice Mae Smith Reese. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence William Reese, Frank Curtis Reese, Jr., and Thomas Lee Reese, Sr., and a sister, Virginia Mae Reese. Robert worked at Diamond Meat Company for a number of years. He was a friend to many, always ready to help others, and leaves many cherished memories behind. He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Smith and husband, Phillip, and Shirley M. Martinez and husband, Juan; devoted niece and nephew, Bobbie Reese and her companion, David Griffith, and Thomas Reese, Jr., as well as several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
