Robert Glen Revis, age 85, of Chester, VA, died on Monday, December 24, 2007. He was born in Anderson County, SC, the son of the late James Elijah and Elise Masters Revis. He was a graduate of Furman University in Greenville, SC with a degree in business administration. Mr. Revis served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was an avid golfer and gifted athlete with great hand eye coordination. Mr. Revis was a member of Chester Baptist Church and choir member there for approximately 10 years. He loved God, Jesus, and his family. A favorite pasttime of his was talking with people. He was preceded in death by his sisters Cleo Rogers and Selma Mauldin. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sara M. Revis; daughters, Glenda Price and husband Stan, of Grapevine, TX, Pamela King and husband Michael, of Chester, VA; grandchildren, Nancy Jones and husband Eddie, Michelle Spencer and husband Charlie, Timothy King and wife Tuttie; great grandchildren, Jake and Caleb Jones, Hannah, Jack and Ryan Spencer, and Dalton King. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28 in Chester Baptist Church at 1 p.m., with interment following in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
