Robert Edward Shornak

Robert E. "Shug" Shornak, 92, of Hopewell, VA, entered into eternal rest on April 10, 2022. He will be remembered as a doting husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rachel Clark Shornak and his parents, Pearl and August "Gus" Shornak. Left to cherish his memory are Robert's four sons, Mark (Jackie), Keith (Wanda), Todd (Susan), and Craig (Mary). Carrying on his legacy are seven grandchildren, Sara Fillman (Luke), Austin Colligan (Thomas), Mackenzie Leimberger (Tyler), Cole Shornak, Carly Williams (Cole), Corey Shornak (Chandler), and Michelle Ingram; eleven great-grandchildren; a cherished caregiver, Liz Raines; and many extended family and friends. The family will gather graveside with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Appomattox Cemetery in Hopewell, VA, immediately following with the service at 11:00 AM.
