Robert Gregory Slone

April 22, 1973 — September 11, 2023

Robert Gregory Slone, 50, of North Dinwiddie, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Phyllis Slone; and his uncle, Carl Slone. Robert was a 15-year member of Smyrna Baptist Church, where he both attended the church and volunteered. He loved fishing and enjoyed walking, walking many miles each day to get exercise. Most of all, Robert loved his children and family with his whole heart. He will be greatly missed and remembered by all who knew him. Robert is survived by his wife, Tosha Slone; his children, Zachary Slone, Brittany Wieland, Frank Rakowski, Tabitha Smith, and Krysta Smith, also with a lot of love, Ivar Dean; three grandchildren, Isabella, Braylynn, and Leo Alexander; his siblings, Michael Slone, Michele Snead (Dale), James Slone (Karen), and Dana Bailey (Shannon); uncles, Bill Mullins, Allen Slone, and Ed Slone (Carole); nieces, Jayme Slone, Emily Slone, Hannah Slone, and Julia Bailey; nephews, Josh Snead (Adalyn), Brian Slone, and Michael Slone; best friend, Jim Harris; and extended family members and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Smyrna Baptist Church, 18971 Carson Road, Dinwiddie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smyrna Baptist Church. Condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.jtmorriss.com .
