Robert Sorrell

Robert G. Sorrell, 63, of Chester, passed away on Saturday August 14 after a long courageous battle with Huntingtonâ??s disease. He was the son of the late Charles Boyce & Lorna Tonn Sorrell. Robert was very active in sports and loved coaching softball and baseball especially with the children, was an avid golfer and loved traveling to new places. He served his country in the United States Army, was a Viet Nam Veteran, and served in the US Army Reserves for 16 years. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Theresa of Chester, a son, Gregory Brian Sorrell, daughter, Deena Sorrell Maxfield & husband Troy, three grandchildren, Garrett, Cassie, and Jenny all of Salt Lake City Utah, sisters, Susie Hutchinson & husband Rod of Fredericksburg, Linda Smith & husband Ron of Dallas, Texas, Carol Pennington of Denver Colorado, numerous nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Tuesday August 17, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
