Robert Early "Sandy" St. Clair, of Petersburg formerly of Glasgow, died on Monday, April 20, 2009. Originally from Radford, he served as a Navy pilot during World War II. He was a pharmacist and operated a small family drugstore serving the community of Glasgow for most of his life. He loved the outdoors and had many hobbies, including hunting, fishing and horseback riding. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy Dance St. Clair of Petersburg; his five children, A. Tyler St. Clair of Lynchburg, Robert Early St Clair, Jr. of Longmont, CO, Michael Hunter St. Clair of New Hope, Olin Benjamin St. Clair of Louisville, KY, Sarah Madison St. Clair of Sterling; two stepchildren, John Dance of Atlanta, GA and Tracy Dance of Sutherland; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Finch of Richmond and Mary Anne Barksdale of Pensacola, FL. The family will hold a small private family service. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
