Robert Sykes

Robert David Sykes, 65, of Prince George, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012. He retired from the U.S. Army after twenty years of service. After serving his country he then went to work for Virginia Power for ten years, and most recently he retired from working security at VCU after thirteen years. Mr. Sykes enjoyed restoring classic cars and was a member of the Classic Cruisers. He loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. Mr. Sykes is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alice Oâ??Reilly Sykes; two brothers; and a sister. He is survived by his wife, OkSong Lee Sykes; a son, Roland Burton and his wife, Janice; a daughter, Jenny Pauls and her husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Laura and Austin Burton, Katie and Bruce Jr. Pauls; a brother, Danny Sykes; sisters, Barbara Donahue, and Carol Clements; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
