Robert Leslie Vest, Sr.

Robert L. Vest, Sr., 83, of Petersburg, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy Michelle Vest; sister, Joann Perkins; former spouse, Eva Vest; and his beloved dog, Ginger. Robert was one of kind and was greatly loved by everyone. He worked for the utilities department of the Petersburg Water Authority for over 40 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding jet skis and four wheelers, and traveling to Nags Head and Buggs Island. Robert is survived by his sons, Robert L. Vest II and Rodney Emmitt Vest; grandson, Grant Vest; daughter-in-law, Katherine Vest; and cousin, caretaker, and best friend, Pamela A. Blackmon Montgomery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Petersburg Chapel, 103 S. Adams Street, Petersburg.
