Robert Bradford Whitehurst Jr.

Robert Bradford Whitehurst, Jr., 90, of Chester, VA passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. Born in Richmond, VA he was the son of the late Robert Bradford Sr., and Gladys Gibb Whitehurst. Whitey had served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Whitehurst; two daughters, Marcy Cooper and Renee Taylor and husband, Earnie; two sons, David Whitehurst and Robert Whitehurst and wife, Karen; and four grandchildren, Earnie, Jesse, Zachary and Madison. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond, VA with the Rev. Rodney Jenkins, officiating. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Whitey Whitehurst.
