Robert Wilson

Robert Gene Wilson, 64, of Sutherland, VA, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at his residence. Born in Madison, WVA, he was the son of the late Claud Bantam and Ora Burgess Wilson. Mr. Wilson loved his country and served it for 22 years in the U. S. Army, including service in Vietnam. He was a loving husband and father and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Wilson; sons, Robert Gene Wilson, Jr. of Colorado, Robert Edward Wilson and Michael Daniel Byrd Wilson both of Sutherland; four brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by three brothers. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2nd at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrenâ??s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
