Robert James Clark Woods Jr.

Robert “Bobby” “Popeye” James Clark Woods, Jr., 65, of Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Robert James C. Woods, Sr. and Dorothy Slate Woods. He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Tracy Vinson. Robert was a faithful member of West End Baptist Church. He was employed at the Dixie restaurant in Petersburg for 32 years and also worked for the Richmond Times Dispatch and Progress-Index. More than anything he loved his family. He is survived by his siblings, Katherine L. Matinez and her husband, Ventura “Tony”, Diane W. Baggett and her husband, Bobby, Charles M. Woods, Margaret A. Eggleston and her husband, James, and Betty L. Vinson; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015 in Blandford Cemetery. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
