Robert Anthony Young Jr.

Robert Anthony Young Jr., 72, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. Young Sr. and Harriette Kuhl Robertson Young. Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rose Stewart Young; sons, Robert P. Blankenship and his wife, Angie, and Robert A. Young III; daughters, Mary Catherine Fetty, and Suzanne Alexis Young Grason and her husband, David; grandchildren, Quincy D. Rollins, Ashlyn Rose Fetty, Rylon Lee Fetty, Jesse Stewart Blankenship, Julie Chappell Blankenship, and Cassidy Ruth Grason; siblings, James L. Young and his wife, Candy, and Deborah Yehlen and her husband, Mark; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Young was an Alumnus of the University of Richmond. He had also been a minister for thirteen years with Genito Presbyterian Church in Powhatan. Mr. Young worked as an Associate Professor of Pastoral Care, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and as a Chaplain Supervisor at MCV. He loved photography and visiting the beach, especially Nags Head. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date at East Matoaca Cemetery.
