Roberta Clark Boswell went peacefully to eternal rest on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Roberta, or Bobbie, as many knew her, is survived by her loving twin sister Elizabeth (Betty) Clark Saady; four nephews, Kevin, Thomas, Douglas and Kenneth Saady; nine great-nephews and nieces and her very special friend, who she said was her "kindred spirit", Scott Scarborough. Scott and Bobbie enjoyed a beautiful friendship for more than 20 years. Her husband of 53 years, John E. Boswell, precedes her in death. During their long marriage, Bobbie and John traveled extensively, from halibut fishing in Alaska to snorkeling in the Bahamas; they sometimes would be gone for months at a time, always with their beloved Corgis in tow. She was a wonderful gardener, growing enough vegetables for all of Chester, as well as her many beautiful flowers. She and her sister, Betty, loved to fish and would take off for the fishing piers as often as possible. Bobbie could talk to anyone and make them feel as though she had known them all of her life.
She loved people, and no one was a stranger. She leaves a huge void in her identical twin sister's life and will be missed forever. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester VA 23831. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia Court House, VA 23002. Condolences may be registered at
