Rodney Jr. Berry

Rodney Clarence Berry, Jr., 79, of Hopewell went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 1, 2007. He was the son of the late Rodney Clarence Berry, Sr. and Carol Taylor Berry and the husband of Winifred Berry. Rodney was a graduate of Randolph Macon College, a long time member and past president of the Hopewell Optimist Club, a member of First United Methodist Church, and served his country in the United States Navy. Along with his wife, he is survived by sons, Rodney Clarence Berry, III and wife, Katy, Steve Berry and wife, Sherl and Bruce Berry and wife, Martha; step son, Tom Shumaker and wife, Holly; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Keith T. Berry and wife, Jackie and sister, Marylee Seward and husband, Minor. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 from 7 to 8:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 am. Burial will follow in Dale Memorial Park.
