Rodney Lee Wells

Rodney Lee Wells, 90, of Chester, VA, died on Friday, October 29, 2021. Born and raised in Enon, VA, he was the son of the late Roger Wells and Zola White. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Teressa Ann Mattox Wells and daughter, Jennifer Sommers. Rodney is survived by daughters, Emily Hatch, and Leslie Wells and her husband, Peter Betuel; brother, Courtney Wells and niece, Ann Carr; sister-in-law, Janice Shelton and husband, David Shelton; son-in-law, Kevin Sommers and his wife, Judy Sommers; grandchildren, Jessica Hatch and her husband, Paul Compagnon, Will Hatch and his wife, Katelynn Hatch, Eric Sommers and his wife, Stevana Sommers, Mark Sommers and Annalise Pisculli, Christopher Betuel, and Sarah Betuel; nephew, Paul Bowles and his wife, Tammy Bowles; niece, Michelle Owen and her husband, Dan Owen; nephew, Neal Fitzgerald; grand-nieces, Sydney Bowles, Cassidy Stambaugh and her husband, Sam Stambaugh; and grand-nieces, Megan Wyatt and Samantha Owen. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Enon Baptist Church, 13607 N Enon Church Rd, Chester, VA 23836. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Jon Couch officiating. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
