ROGER GRAY BOGER, 61, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at his residence in Waverly. Born July 5, 1948, in Forsythe County NC, he was the son of the late John Wesley Boger, Sr., and Mary Louise Miller Boger. He was a retired manager at International Wood Products, who loved yard work, photography, painting, and poetry. His love of life and fellowship was obvious to everyone who knew him. He is survived by many good friends.
In addition to his wife, Ruby, of 43 years, Mr. Boger is survived by two daughters, Linda Marie Boger of Advance NC and Christy Gray Boger Knick and her husband, Tony, of Manassas; a granddaughter, Emma Grace; two brothers, Johnny Boger and his wife Travisene and Ricky Boger and his wife Kathy Jo; one sister, Kathy Diane Street and her husband Robert; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Purviance Chapel, J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield, with Rev. Keith Whitfield officiating. The family will received friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
