Roger Daniel Elder Sr.

Roger Daniel Elder, Sr., 63, of Chesterfield passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Daisy Price Elder. He is survived by his son, Roger Elder Jr. (Mary); his sisters, Phyllis Crook (Donald) and Patsy Lee; sweetheart, Mary Haynes; his grandson and number one fan, Simon Elder; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Roger was an Army Veteran, who enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He had a strong work ethic, could fix anything and had a very unique sense of humor. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd. Chester, VA 23831 on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. His funeral ceremony will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Final rest will be at Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
