Roger M. Temple, 66 of Prince George County, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 in Hopewell Health Care Center following several years of illness. . Roger was born on January 16, 1941 in Disputanta and was the youngest son of the late Lawrence Dewey and Louise Catherine Reeves Temple. He was predeceased by a sister, Catherine and a brother Lawrence. Roger grew up on the familyâ??s peanut farm and attended both Carson High School and Prince George High School. He worked briefly at Allied Chemical and went on to become District Manager for So-Fro Fabrics. He owned a convenience store in Charles City and later established a very successful lawn care company which served the Charles City and Williamsburg areas. Roger was very active until Kidney failure and chronic illness forced him to retire. He is survived by his children, Sherry, Robbie, Jesse, Katherine and their children, his brothers, Major, Jerry, Howard, Wesley and a sister Edna. Roger loved his family and maintained close contact especially with his brothers and sister. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 9, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kidney Foundation of Virginia, 2601 Willard Road, Suite 103, Richmond, Virginia 23294. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com
