Romulus Green

Romulus Leonard Green, 91, of E. Poythress Street, Hopewell died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 in John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in North Carolina, but had been a life long resident of this area. Mr. Green was a U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII, a member of DuPont Lodge #289 AFAM, and was past master, an office he held in 1950, was a member of the Church of the Brethen and was retired from the Personnel Department of Continental Can. He was the son of the late Elmer and Ida Saunders Green. His only survivors are close friends, Linford and Sarah Nichols of Hopewell. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, May 14, 2004 in Appomattox Cemetery, with the Rev. Earl Stovall, pastor of Church of the Brethren officiating. Masonic rites will follow. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
