Ronald Merriman Lowman

Ronald Merriman Lowman, 82, of Sutherland, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Born in Bishop, VA he was the son of the late Raymond Lowman and Juanita Doris Agee Lowman. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Lowman.
Ronald graduated from Warren County High School in 1958. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. Afterwards, he went to school to become an Electrician, and after many years mastering his trade he retired. Ronald enjoyed being active in youth sports. He founded and organized Dinwiddie Babe Ruth League in 1972. He loved to coach little league baseball and football. He had a strong passion for writing and published a book, which he was very proud of. He was a member of IBEW in Richmond and the American Legion. Ronald will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Lowman; son, Paul M. Lowman; nieces and nephews, Lisa Nunery, Dwayne Lowman, Michelle Ellinwood, and Michael Spencer; aunts, Ramona Lowman and Billie Jean Simmons; and brother-in-law, David Fry.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
