Ronald Meade Newton Jr.

Ronald Meade Newton, Jr., 51, of Petersburg, VA, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015. A lifelong resident of the area, Ron was a graduate of Dinwiddie High School and Atlantic Bible College. He was an accomplished musician and was well known in the automobile business. He worked most of his life at his family’s businesses, Newton Auto Sales and Jak Max. An outgoing guy, Ron never met a stranger and always kept a positive outlook no matter the circumstances. He was proud of his faith and took every opportunity to preach God’s word. He shared God’s love as an active participant in youth activities at Living Stone Baptist Church. Ron is survived by parents, Ronald and Maxine Newton of Colonial Heights; sister, Kimberly Newton Bostain (Jack); brother, Bryant Newton (Michelle); nieces, Brittany Newton, Kimberly Newton, and Margaret Meade Bostain; his lifelong love, Terri Lynn Cliborne, a large extended family and many friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
