Ronald Gene Simmons

Ronald Gene Simmons, 61, of Chesterfield Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Rhonda Simmons; daughter, Jessica Carver and husband, Ron; son, Justin Simmons and wife, Florrie; parents, Jim and Emogene Simmons; three grandchildren, Skylar, Kinsley, and Canaan; sister, Karen Harris and husband, Dan; niece, Lauryn; and nephew, Dylan.
Ron was an advocate for Lung cancer awareness, he enjoyed all sports, particularly power lifting, bike riding, and youth sports. He was a man of faith and at one time, a youth minister at Bellwood Pentecostal Church. An outgoing man who enjoyed traveling, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, pawpaw, and a light in the lives of all he leaves behind.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023 with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
