Ronnie Thompson

Ronald Leon “Ronnie” Thompson, 51, of Colonial Heights, VA, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018. Born in Hopewell, he was the son of the late Billy Gene and Mary Lou Dingess Thompson. Ronnie had a very outgoing personality and never met a stranger. He loved to fish and cook, and will be fondly remembered as a big kid that never grew up. He is survived by his sisters, Kathi Hall (Jimmy), Tamy Riggleman (Bill), and Darlene Edwards (Mike), his girlfriend, Rachel Kowalski and her son, Erik Schultz; a special niece, Payton Thompson; nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Ben, Kelly, Karen, Shayna, Sarah, and Leighanna; great-nieces and nephews, Katlin, Kaitlyn, Dayton, Billy, Collin, Caden, Maddox, Gracie, Grayson, and Isabella. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
