Ronnie Darnell Gaines

Ronnie Darnell Gaines, 66, of Chester, VA passed away on September 8, 2014. Mr. Gaines was a United States Navy Veteran, and was a former firefighter and fire inspector for the City of Richmond. He was the owner and operator of Gaines and Critzer Insurance Agency. Mr. Gaines was a member of the Meadowbrook Country Club and Salem Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carol Gaines; one son, Troy Gaines and wife, Kimberly; a daughter, Trina Fabian and husband, Benjamin; two sisters, Trudy Gaines and Jonella Redmond; five grandchildren, Alexis, Alyssa and Alivia Gaines, Keating and Gavin Fabian. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:30pm and from 6:00 to 8:30pm on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Salem Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff of the Virginia Cancer Institute for all of their support.
