Rosa Hernandez Briggs

Our beloved Rosa Hernandez Briggs, 55, of Disputanta, VA., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. She was born in Limestone, Maine (Loring Air Force Base) on August 12, 1962; graduated American High School 1980 Bremerhaven, Germany. Rosa is survived by her husband, Spencer T. Briggs; son, Jason Pruett; daughter, Samantha Pruett; Granddaughter, Cecilia Belardo and her Fur-baby Dog, Dixie. She is also survived by her mother, Nelida Espada Prottenger, her stepfather, John Prottenger; brothers, Felix Hernandez, Jr. and Anibal Hernandez; Sister, Daisy M. Hernandez. She is preceded in death by her Father, Felix L Hernandez, Sr.; brothers, Samuel Hernandez and Israel Hernandez. Rosy enjoyed family and friends more than anything, with parties filled with great food, great company, and laughter. She was so overjoyed with love for her new granddaughter, little Ceci and her children. She has many friends whom have all reached out to us with their love and prayers; please know we appreciate everyone’s support during this difficult time. Rosy loved to express her kind ways via Facebook and other social Medias; we’d like to share her last posting only a few hours before her passing:

A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held, 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3512 Virginia Street, Hopewell, VA 23860. All are welcome. Of course flowers are beautiful, but in lieu of flowers please donate to American Diabetes Foundation www.diabetes.org or your Local Dog Shelters/SPCA.in Rosa’s Name.
