Rosa Sasser

Rosa Belle Sasser 83, of Hopewell passed away on Friday December 31, 2010 in John Randolph Medical Center . She was born in Tarboro, NC and had been a long time resident of Hopewell, VA. Rosa enjoyed working in her garden, collecting dolls and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mae V. Pittman Coker, her husband, John P. Sasser, Sr., a daughter, Nancy S. James and a son, John P. Sasser, Jr. Mrs. Sasser is survived by two daughters, Kathy S. Rackley and her husband Billy, of Prince George, VA, Rose M. Hancock and her husband Norbert, a son, Walter L. Sasser, all of Hopewell, VA, nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, January 3, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. C. Wayne Henry, Pastor of Charity Baptist Church, assisted by Pastor Chris Jenkins and Pastor Jeffrey Foldesi, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George County.
