Rosanna Mazzei

Rosanna Mazzei, 50, of Chester, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Cerenzia. Italy. Mrs. Mazzei was a Support Specialist for the Medical Facilities of America, Inc. of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francesco and Isabella Zappia Mazzei, and her son, Shaun Patrick Bates. Surviving are her son, Jason David Bates, of Spartanburg, SC., sisters, Marie M. Fratto and husband John of Dallas, TX., Frances G. Newsome of Greenville, NC., three brothers, Leonardo Mazzei and wife Sharon of Chester, Ted Mazzei of Virginia Beach, Mario Mazzei and wife Lisa of Birmingham, Ala., an uncle, Salvatore Zappia and wife Maria of Virginia Beach, two aunts, Phyllis Zappia of Long Island, NY., Adrienne Zappia of Portsmouth, NH., 10 nieces, 6 nephews, numerous cousins, and Paternal uncles and aunts in Italy.
A Rosary service will be held Friday, July 30, 2004 at 6:30PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with visitation to follow. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Daniel Bond, pastor of St. James Catholic Church officiating . Interment will follow in the Appomattox Cemetery.
