Rose Hawkins Jacobs

Rose Hawkins “Sissy” Jacobs, 58, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Hawkins and Martha Zappulla Hawkins.
Sissy had a heart of gold and spent much of her career as a caregiver. She was known to be an enthusiastic Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed rooting for them. Most of all, she loved her family and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dale Jacobs; sons, Matthew Jacobs (Mandie) and Aaron Jacobs (Melissa Elkins); sisters, Debbie Schmidt (Keith) and Shelly Vairo (Rex); numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Rennie Kidd.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
