Rose Hawkins Mccaffity

Rose Hawkins McCaffity, 71, of McKenney, VA, died Monday, October 16, 2017. A lifelong resident of Dinwiddie County, she was the daughter of the late David and Mary Hawkins. Mrs. McCaffity worked at Brown & Williamson and Titmus Optical for a combined 23 years, prior to becoming a C.N.A at Dunlop House. She was a devoted wife and mother, and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and watching TV, especially her soap operas and cooking shows. She was a member of McKenney Baptist Church. Mrs. McCaffity is survived by her husband of 50 years, Billie McCaffity; daughter, Sandy Lyle and husband, Travis; granddaughter, Chloe Lyle; sister, Jean Reeves, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Asbury Memorial Cemetery, McKenney, VA.
