Rosevelt, Taylor

Rosevelt Taylor Sr., age 70, passed away November 15, 2006 in Richmond, VA. He was born in Standardsville, VA and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Greenwood Taylor. Mr. Taylor was employed by the DGSC at Bellwood and worked in logistics. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy with service in the Vietnam War and retired in 1975 with the rank of MMCM. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Taylor of Colonial Heights, VA; a son, Rosevelt Taylor Jr. and wife Betty; two daughters, Cynthia Brent, and Jacqueline Carpenter; grandchildren, Monique Brent, Rachel Brent, Yeshi Lemma, Hassan Taylor, and Rasheed Taylor; sisters, Dora Ray, Christine Brown, and Lorraine Holden; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 6100 Cornerstone Blvd. Chesterfield, VA with Pastor Kevin Carey officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A committal ceremony will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Amelia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia County. Condolences may be registered at jtmorriss.com
