Roy Marvin Jones

Roy Marvin Jones, 83, of Chester, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ethel Jones and his wife Phyllis Jones. He is survived by his son, Charles Jones, daughter, Kelly Jones Becker; grandchildren, Adam, Arielle and Alexis Becker; his stepson Tim Rockett and daughter-in law Katrina Seay Rockett. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Dollarhite and brother, Nelson Jones. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Army, attended Virginia Tech, and was employed as an engineering contractor for many industrial facilities throughout his career. He was passionate about woodworking, travel, his grandchildren, and his church family. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 19th, 2016 at 2:00pm at Chester Presbyterian Church with Dr. Gordon Mapes, III officiating. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at Chester Presbyterian Church following Interment.
