Roy Winn

Roy M. Winn, Sr., of Chesterfield, VA, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Roy was a Navy veteran and retiree from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Matti Leigh Winn; brother, Leonard; and Royâ??s first wife of 46 years, Ruth V. Winn. Survivors include his current wife, Dorothy K. of Chesterfield; his sons, Roy M. Jr. of FL, George T.(Bonnie) of Chesterfield, and Alvin (Dianne) of Petersburg; daughter, Carol E. Winn of Chesterfield; step-children, Kathy (Keith) Johnson of Hopewell, Eileen (Rob) Smith of FL, Stephen (Tina) Keavy of Chesterfield, Michael Keavy of PA, and David Keavy of NC; sisters, Ethylene (Bill) Chumney of Colonial Heights, VA, Maryleigh (Paul) Crumpler of Colonial Heights, VA, and Dixie (Ed) Courtwright of NC; brother, George W. Winn Sr. of Prince George; special daughters-in-law, Darlene A. Winn of FL. and Caterina M. Keavy of Chesterfield. Roy also has five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his special care giver, Ann S. Ingram of Richmond. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Friday, July 15, at 10 a.m. in the Sunset Memorial Park with a memorial service afterwards at 11:30 a.m., at the Ironbridge Baptist Church, Chesterfield, VA.
