R.T. Leonard Jr

R.T. Leonard, 85, of Petersburg, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012. He is the son of the late Ira and Ellie Leonard. Mr. Leonard proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Marks UMC and the Petersburg Lions Club. He is survived by his beloved wife Mildred Hall Leonard; son, John I. Leonard, and his wife, Susan of Short Pump, VA; daughter, Dawn Leonard Hack, and her husband, Scott of Richmond, VA; granddaughters, Meredith and Holly Leonard and Addison and Sydney Hack; sisters, Elizabeth Critz and Maggie Lou Lewis; brother, John Leonard and his wife, Ruby; a host of other beloved family and friends. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home, family will receive friends immediately following the service until 4:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
