Ruby Lamb

Ruby â??Kittyâ? Lamb, 85, formerly of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010. She was the daughter of the late James R. and Lena Daniels Garrett, and was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Lamb; two brothers; and three sisters. Kitty was a member of the Dinwiddie Moose Lodge, and was very devoted to her family and friends. Mrs. Lamb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and was a devout Christian, with a powerful witness for the Lord. She is survived by son, James Alan Lamb Sr. and wife, Sharon; seven grandchildren, Tina, Alan Jr., Laura, Jason, Curt, Robbie, Garrett; eight great grandchildren, Jamie, Glenn, Adam, Amanda, Kali, Trey, Taylor, Jade; three sisters, Rachel, Mildred, and Helen. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service, where services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 4, with the Rev. Rodney Jenkins officiating.
