Ruby Lee Napier

Ruby Lee Napier, 87, of Chester, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Born in Castlewood, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Luther Edward and Nannie Lee Johnson Castle; and was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Gordon Napier; and her brother, Clyde Dallas Castle. Mrs. Napier was a devout Christian and was a member of the Chester Church of God. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Napier is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Gordon Napier; three children, Debora Copeland, Kimberly Napier and Thomas Napier; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Brewer and Sharon Hayes (Kenneth); and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
