Ruby Skinner

Ruby Reese Skinner, 95, of Matoaca, widow of William Skinner passed away October 24, 2011. She is also preceded in death by her only son, David Skinner. She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Bryant, and her husband F.L. Bryant, Mary Christian, and Willine Lane; brother, Preston Reese; 15 grandchildren, 33 great Grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other beloved family and friends. Ruby retired from Titmus Optical. She was a member of Rock Church and loved her church family. She was a graduate of Zion Bible College. Her life long study and love for Godâ??s word gave her the amazing ability to quote scripture, chapter, and verse with an ability to share just the right one with those around her. She instilled wisdom, devotion, and love for God and family to everyone who knew her. In addition to the five generations of family and too many friends to count, Ruby also leaves a legacy of love that will go on for many more generations to come. Family will receive friends from 6:00- 8:30 pm on Wednesday October 26, 2011 at the Petersburg chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
