Ruby Patterson Weber

Ruby Patterson Weber, 94, of Chester VA, died March 5, 2022. Born in Lewiston, NC and raised in McKenney, VA, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Murt Heartwell Patterson; and was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Nelson Ellsworth Weber; and a brother, Joe Patterson. She is survived by her children, Frank (Amy), Thomas (Donna), Scott and Susan (Joel); 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, Billy Patterson; and a niece and two nephews. Ruby graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelors of Science and Virginia Commonwealth University with a Masters in Library Science. Afterward, she was the librarian at Harrowgate Elementary School for over twenty years. She loved and was loved by many. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
