Russell E â??Daveâ? Crockett, 79, of Petersburg, died Wednesday, April 13, 2010 at his residence. He was the son of the late Willis L. and Mary Ruark Crockett. He was predeceased by his brother Bobby J. Crockett. Russell was the owner of Pats Store and Station in Prince George County and a member of the Masonic Lodge Berlin 46 in Germany. He was a retired SFC in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He is survived by his wife, Diana Crockett; four daughters, Patricia Montague and husband, Arthur, Cynthia Mayes, Jacqueline Faison and Caren Ray and husband, Douglas; one son, Patrik Crockett; grandchildren, Candice, Camden, Alexander, Amanda, Justin, Destry, Austin, Hunter, Logan and Samantha; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Willis N. Crockett, Jesse F. Crockett and wife, Dorothy, and Floyd A. Crockett and wife, Glenna; four sisters, Betty E. Giddens, Lena M. Yeary and significant other, Earl Christian; Mary K. Fisher and significant other, Debbie Spears, Brenda Chowdhury and her husband, Nadeem.; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with the Rev. Paul Furrow officiating.
