Russell Vergara

Russell Vincent Vergara 92 of Hopewell passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at John Randolph Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Felicia Cordaro Vergara Sr.; his wife Olive Symbaline Vergara; his daughter Frances L. Vergara; and sister Marian V. Letchworth. He is survived by one daughter Rosalyn P. Vergara; a son Russell V. â??Russâ? Vergara Jr., sister Elsie V. Stidham and husband E.J.; two brothers James J. Vergara, and Francis A. Vergara and wife Janet all of Hopewell, and many nieces, nephews, and other family. Mr. Vergara was former owner of Vergaraâ??s Royal Cleaners, a member of St. James Catholic Church, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, John Massey Chapter, Hopewell, and a member of the Hopewell Democratic Committee. A Christian Wake service will be Monday, November 1, 2010 at 7PM in St. James Catholic Church with visitation to follow until 8:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held 11:30 AM on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Richmond. Interment will be in Mt.
