Ruth Baxter

Ruth Orgain Chappell Baxter, 87, of Pahrump Nevada passed away on Sunday January 16, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband, Rufus E. Baxter, Jr., and her parents Claude Homer & Lucy Frances Parsons Chappell. Ruth was a retired postmaster with the US Postal Service. She is survived by her children; Emmett Francis Baxter of Dinwiddie, Betty Charboneau Groman & husband, Roger of Pahrump, NV., Mary Catherine McDowell & husband, Don of Ooltewah, TN., William Allen Baxter & wife, Regina V. of Dinwiddie, Grandchildren Bryan Charboneau of Abingdon, MD., and Sydney Marie Baxter of Dinwiddie. The family will receive friends on Sunday January 23, 2011 at the Petersburg Chappell of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A graveside funeral service will be in Southlawn Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday January 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM.
