Ruth Ann Burgess, 71, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Snowden Kershner and Gladys Kershner; sisters, Faye Starks and Clara Gillispe. She is survived by her loving husband of over 40 years, William L. Burgess; son, William B. Burgess; daughter, Melissa Mckee; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Eileen Ash, Margaret Taylor and Grace Coleman. Services are private.
