Ruth Dana

Ruth Goulder Dana, 86, of Colonial Heights, formerly of Petersburg, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 15, 2005. She was born May 25th, 1919 to Clinton and Mary Eanes Goulder in Petersburg, VA. She was retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company with 41 years service. Ruth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Colonial Heights. She was an avid bowler and lover of sports. Ms. Dana was preceded in death by two sisters, Stella Mayton and Helen Santerre, and a brother, Richard Goulder. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Phyllis Hoch of Raleigh, NC, Donna Harrell of Dinwiddie, Gwen Burrow of Colonial Heights, Everett Mayton, Jr. of Colonial Heights, Richard Goulder of Macon, GA, Buddy Hoch of Raleigh, NC, Ronald and Keith Santerre of Dinwiddie, Scott Hoch of Orlando, FL, Eric Gay and Brandon Burrow of Colonial Heights, and many special friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 18, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
