Ruth Jolly Marable

Ruth Jolly Marable, 96, of South Chesterfield, VA, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 24, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Early Edward Jolly and Emma Florence Puckett Jolly; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Randolph (Ranny) Marable; three sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Marable was a lifetime member of West End Baptist Church where she served in the nursery for many years. She was also a Charter Member of the Matoaca Woman’s Club. Mrs. Marable retired from the payroll department at Chesterfield County after many years of dedicated service. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Duncan and her husband David; grandson, Adam Duncan and his wife Jenn; great-grandson, Hardison Duncan; sister, Pat Perkins and husband Spencer Perkins, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Karen, Sheri, Ruth and Crater Community Hospice for their care and love shown towards Mrs. Marable.
