Ruth Purdin

Ruth A. Purdin 77, of Hopewell passed away on February 24, 2012. Born in Bottineau North Dakota she is the daughter of the late Clarence F. and Ruth Elayer Amsbaugh. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Hunter Purdin.Mrs. Purdin volutteered with the Fort Lee Red Cross for over twenty years and always lent a helping hand to everyone she knew.She is survived by her son, Carl Purdin and his wife Nora; daughter, Karen Bookout and her husband Billy; grandchildren, Joey, Matthew, Christopher; brothers, Charles, and Ted Amsbaugh; brother in law, Audleigh Purdin and his wife Louise and their two children Cheryl, and Jeff; extended family, Kauffman, Pettit, Sanders, Blevins; and close friend Thelma Mullens.All services are private. Arrangements are being handled by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
